Residents invited to join Hillcrest community clean up

Local residents are being urged to support a big clean up at Hillcrest in Queensbury.

The two-day action (23 and 24th August, 10am – 4pm) is being organised by Incommunities to spruce up the neighbourhood. One of the main aims of the clean-up will be to cut back overgrown areas, tackle any fly tipping and carry out litter picks. Local households are being urged to lend a hand and help tidy gardens.

Incommunities are also keen to hear from Hillcrest residents interested in joining a local group to improve the area.

The community clean-up is being supported by Bradford Council, the Queensbury Community Programme and the local TESCO store.

Anna Fryer, Incommunities’ Director of Neighbourhoods, said: "Our staff are looking forward to working with local residents and partners on the clean-up. If you would to like to get involved then come along! We are also inviting residents to be part of a new group focused on making lasting improvements for the benefit of the Hillcrest community. By working together we can make a real difference and encourage everyone to do their bit!"

Information on refuse and recycling collections and reporting fly-tipping and dog fouling will also be given out over the two days.
