It is convenient for both medical and dental practices, local chemists and opticians. The Pennine village also offers two supermarkets, cafes and a range of shops.

Residents can take a free access bus from outside the development twice weekly into Bradford. It also operates to the award winning Keelham Farm Shop in nearby Thornton.

A frequent public bus runs to Halifax and Bradford.

Living space

At Goodwin House we have 37 fully self-contained one bedroom apartments and a two bedroom home with lift access. All the homes have fitted bathrooms with shower, kitchen and lounge.

In 2016 it underwent an extensive modernisation to both homes and communal spaces.

There is a Retirement Housing Officer available Monday to Friday who is happy to assist residents with any issues including help to settle into your new home and deal with utility services.

Residents have their own fobs to operate the main entrances. Door entry is also controlled by intercoms in every residents’ home to provide extra security.

All our schemes are linked to the 24/7 Trustcare mobile response service giving residents and their families the reassurance that assistance is just a call away.
