How we’ll support you
We’ve supported lots of people who were experiencing abuse or neglect. Our team are specially trained and will help and guide you, you’re not alone.
Everything that you discuss with our team will be kept confidential and treated with respect. We won’t involve any organisations without first speaking to you.
These are a few of the people who we have helped in the past.

“I got referred to Incommunities safeguarding team after someone came out to look at my broken cooker.
They could see that I wasn’t managing to look after myself or my home. I’ve had some health problems, and everything was just getting on top of me.
I hadn’t eaten a hot meal in weeks and wasn’t keeping up with my medication.
The safeguarding team got me a referral to adult social care and booked an appointment for me to visit my GP. They got some urgent repairs sorted out in my home and brought me some food parcels and a microwave.
Hopefully their help will be the start of me turning things around.”

“My granddaughter was worried that I may be letting people that I didn’t know into my home, so I was referred to the safeguarding team.
The team came out and chatted to me about the concerns and I explained the steps that I take to protect myself.
They could see that I was managing to take care of myself and my home. They listened to what I had to say and respected my wishes.
At this time I don’t need any further help from the safeguarding team, but it’s great to know that they’re there providing support to those that need it.”
