Bonfire night – Important Safety Advice
We are joining Bradford Council, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) and the Police in urging people NOT to organise events or have bonfires outside in their garden.
Due to coronavirus, Bonfire Night will be celebrated differently with many organised events not going ahead.
We want everyone to enjoy the bonfire season responsibly. Why not celebrate Bonfire Night at home with some homemade treats such as parkin cake, toffee apples and treacle toffee and not involve fireworks? Staying at home will also reduce the pressure on our emergency services who are already very busy due to the current pandemic.
It’s very important that people follow the fire safety advice, follow the current restrictions, keep to social distancing and do not have a bonfire in their own back garden as there’s always the potential for fire to spread or people to be injured by fireworks. For more https://bit.ly/2HivPDz
We want everyone to stay safe and avoid the risk of spreading Covid-19. Our estate teams will be looking out for fly-tipped rubbish and removing any bonfires on our land. If you see a build up of rubbish or see fly-tipping contact us on 01274 257990 with the location and any more details.
