Incommunities staff in festive boost for Royal British Legion
Generous Incommunities staff have raised a fantastic £1640 for the Royal British Legion following a prize raffle.
Over 200 gifts were donated by suppliers and contractors of the Shipley-based housing group for the raffle among the workforce.
Every year, staff from the group’s Asset Management Service organise a prize draw in support of a different charity.
This year’s donation comes on top of a £1000 cheque presented to the Royal British Legion by Incommunities Group Chief Executive, Geraldine Howley, as Incommunities’ chosen Christmas charity and over £300 raised by staff for the charity’s Poppy Appeal.
Geraldine Howley, Incommunities’ Group Chief Executive, said: "Thanks to the wonderful support of staff at Incommunities and our partners we are delighted to handover this further donation of £1640 to the Royal British Legion.
"The great work of the Legion is as vital today as it was in the aftermath of the First World War when the charity was founded."
This week, the housing group also donated over 1200 food items to two local foodbanks - Bradford Central Foodbank and Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.
