Incommunities work in partnership with the Bradford & District Credit Union to offer convenient community banking services to thousands of local people including over 1000 Incommunities’ customers.
A credit union is a member-owned financial cooperative, controlled by its members, and operated in a ‘not-for-profit’ way, so the cash is only used to run the services and reward the members, and NOT to pay outside shareholders.
Credit unions aim to help you take control of your money by encouraging you to save what you can, and borrow only what you can afford to repay. In essence, they're savings and loan co-operatives, where the members pool their savings to lend to one another and help to run the credit union.

We have teamed up with Bradford District Credit Union to bring you a great new account card to help take away the worries of paying your bills.
The Engage Classic Account Card is a pre-paid Visa debit card which uses virtual ‘envelopes’ so you can put money aside to cover your rent and household bills such as electricity, gas and Council Tax. Once set up you don’t need to worry. Money will be automatically placed in the envelopes when you pay into your account. The card enables you to pay up to eight bills via standing order. It can be used like a typical high street bank debit card to withdraw money as well as pay in cash.
There are lots of other great benefits.
- it’s easy to apply – no credit checks needed
