Meet the ombudsman prize draw terms and conditions
1. The prize draw is open to customers of Incommunities [aged 18 years or over] [except employees of Incommunities, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw]. “Customers of Incommunities” refers to any person who is a tenant or a registered member of the household of an Incommunities home, regardless of its tenure.
2. The prize draw is free to enter [upon attendance of the Meet the Housing Ombudsman event] and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw once you have attended the event, either in person at The Quays, or through the official Teams link. Entry requires the attendee to stay for the full event.
3. Only one entry per person is permitted.
4. The closing date of the prize draw is the date and time of the event, which is the 1st April, 2pm.
5. Incommunities will take measures to confirm that the winner is an Incommunities customer before issuing the prize.
6. Incommunities accepts no responsibility for non-attendance at the event due. This applies to a technical fault if joining online. Or external problems which cause non-attendance at the event in person, either due to transport issues, or external factors such as bad weather.
7. The winners will be chosen by random draw [performed by a computer process OR supervised by an independent person]).
8. The prize is as stated.
9. The winners will be notified by email, telephone or home visit (using the contact details held for the winner). If a winner does not respond to Incommunities within 90 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and Incommunities will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
10. The prizes will be sent to the winners by post or delivered in person within 30 days of being notified of their win.
11. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no alternative is offered.
12. Incommunities reserves the right to replace a prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Incommunities control makes it necessary to do so.
13. The decision of Incommunities regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
14. By entering the prize draw you consent to the use of your personal data by the Incommunities for the purposes of administration of the Prize Draw.
15. If you are a winner, Incommunities will request your written consent to use your name and photograph for the purposes of publicity. Consent is at your sole discretion.
16. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Incommunities reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
17. Incommunities reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
18. Insofar as is permitted by law, the council, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Incommunities, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected
19. Personal data supplied during the course of this prize draw will only be processed as set out in Incommunities Privacy Policy. This can be found on our website.
20. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
21. The prize draw is administered by Incommunities Ltd, The Quays, Victoria Street, Shipley, BD17 7BN.
