Housing group running drop-in to view Bingley housing plans
Local people are being invited to give their views on Incommunities’ plans for a mixed housing development at Crosley Wood.
Architects working for the housing group have drawn up proposals to redevelop the site of three high-rise blocks and create 93 two and three bedroom homes. Fifty per cent of these would be available for affordable rent and the remainder released for shared ownership and market sale.
The drop-in event takes place next Monday (16th September) from 4-7pm in the communal lounge at the Maple Court retirement housing scheme, off Ash Terrace, Bingley.
People coming along will be able to view the plans, meet the architects and Incommunities’ development team and give their feedback.
The three blocks are now empty following the successful rehousing of the remaining residents and are due to be demolished in the coming weeks.
Angela Perry, Incommunities’ Assistant Chief Executive, Asset Management said: "We are looking forward to sharing our plans with local people for this exciting redevelopment designed to provide a mixture of homes to meet the needs of the local community.
"As a group we have been steadfast in our commitment to the future regeneration of the area and at the same time offer choice. Whilst the majority of the planned homes would be released for rent we also want to help local people get on the housing ladder through home ownership options."
"Next week’s event will give the community the opportunity to have their say and get an early look at the type of homes we aim to deliver."
