Housing staff in ‘graduation’ celebration
Over 30 successful learners with Incommunities celebrated passing national qualifications at a special graduation event this week (26th Sept).
The successful employees included managers, trade operatives, care staff, estate workers, neighbourhood housing officers, development staff and support workers.
They covered a range of qualifications from Chartered Institute of Housing, NVQ, and PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) passes to City & Guilds, Certificates in Education and graduate and post graduate awards.
All the ‘graduates’ were sponsored by the housing group as part of their commitment to develop staff across all levels of the organisation.
The event at the Mercure Bradford was compered by BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration and each learner was presented with an award scroll from Incommunities’ Group Chief Executive, Geraldine Howley.
Geraldine Howley, Incommunities’ Group Chief Executive, said: "We are committed to investing in our workforce and see this as integral to the growth and development of our business.
"Congratulations to all our successful learners – our ‘class of 2017’ - on passing their respective qualifications. Everyone should be very proud of their individual success.
"The breadth of the training and courses studied reflects our diverse operations and the talents of our multi-skilled workforce. Our investment will not only help the organisation to deliver better customer services but also brings with it a real sense of achievement for our staff as they look to build their careers with us."
Representatives from several education providers including Leeds College of Building, the Construction Industry Training Board and Bradford and Shipley Colleges – joined in the celebration event.
Over the last three years, more than 70 Incommunities staff have completed work-related qualifications supported by the organisation.
