Where are we?

Rose Court is located in Ravensthorpe, midway between Mirfield and Dewsbury.

The bus stop is located outside on Huddersfield Road and goes both to Dewsbury and Huddersfield. Ravensthorpe Railway Station is no more than 10 minutes walking distance away .

A doctor’s surgery is next to the development.  Rose Court is close the Ravensthorpe Retail Park which includes a number of shops and markets as well as opticians, Greggs and Subway. On Huddersfield Road there is the local post office, chemist, and more shops including a local pub.

The River Calder runs through Ravensthorpe, and on the outskirts of Ravensthorpe is the Shepley Bridge Marina which is  located on the Calder and Hebble Navigation which connects with both the Rochdale and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The Safe Anchor Trust is based at the Shepley Bridge Marina – this is a local charity whose aim is to provide enjoyable, safe and therapeutic boat trips for those in our community who are disadvantaged through physical or mental disabilities, social isolation, age or social deprivation.

Living space

Rose Court comprises of 37 one bed flats spread across two floors.

Each home has the benefit of lift access and a stair lift and are set within well maintained gardens with outdoor seating areas.

There is a Retirement Living Coordinator available weekdays from 9am to 2pm who is happy to assist residents with any issues including help to settle into your new home and deal with utility services.

Residents have their own fobs to operate the main entrances. Door entry is also controlled by intercoms in every residents’ home to provide extra security.

All our schemes are linked to Anchorcall service, so in the event that the Retirement Living Coordinator is not on site, giving residents and their families the reassurance that assistance is just a call away.

Activities for residents
